You can upload DOL and ELF format files with USB Gecko directly from the Gecko OS. With this feature you can load all free and legal homebrew applications and games. It is also great for developers to test code quickly without using previous SD Card methods which required swapping the SD card for each test.

This tutorial, assumes you already have Gecko OS installed and loaded and USB Gecko Connected. Gecko OS will display a Green Gecko Icon at the bottom left hand corner of the screen if every is connected properly.

1. Load up GeckoOS so you have the menu screen shown like so:

2. Now download and run the Geckoload executable from here or the download section. Once downloaded double click the Icon and you will see the application running like the screen below.

3. Now you need to go to the USB Menu and connect the Device, it will show connected in the Adapter Status like so. If you get an error when connecting. Close the application, disconnect the USB Cable and reconnect.

4. Now you are connected. You can load either DOL or ELF files. Both formats are Executables and can be loaded the same way. To load a file is simple, just click Load DOL or Load ELF select the DOL or ELF file you want to upload and the file will automatically send showing a progress bar. Once the progress bar is complete the executable will automatically run.

Important: You can only load Wii Executables in Wii mode, Gamecube Executables in Gamecube mode.
